It's Been a Good Day!

Gallivanting Photographer Yes, it has been a good day. Most of the day, I helped Kim with her job. She has way too much to do trying to keep up with 7 or 8 Engineers and two bosses who dump most of their stuff on her cause they either don't know how to do it or they don't want to do it. She should be getting paid at least as much as they are. And to top it off, the phone rings all day long and she has to stop everything and answer it. That's one reason she stays until 8:00 or 9:00 at night just to be able to work in peace. Anyway, I was able to get some of the work caught up for her and more than happy to help. It breaks up the monotony of my job and gives me a chance to do something totally different from the norm. Because, her daughter gave her money to help with their expenses, Kim paid back the $20 and we went to PoFolks for lunch.

Daddy called me this morning and said his check hadn't come in, so let's eat tomorrow instead of today. He is doing pretty good - not having to take him to the doctors as much as I used to.

Mama called. She seems to think the VEMMA is helping her. She is 75 years old and has emphysema and hasn't felt like doing anything because of the heat. Yesterday and today, she got out and cut grass. I told her she was crazy and shouldn't get out in the heat like that, but you can't tell her anything. She loves working in her yard. But she is very depressed because she gave Freckle Baby away and now she doesn't have any companionship. The only kind of dog she can have is a Shitzu and they are so expensive. She could have a Yorkie or Poodle, but they require grooming and she can't afford that on her measly income. Here's a picture of me and Mama on Mother's Day.

Tabitha called today and asked me to pray for a babysitter for Hope. She went by Roberta's yesterday for a visit and to talk to her about when she would be going back to school. Then, she began sharing how the Lord had been blessing her. She said she got some strange looks, but didn't think anything about it cause she has shared with them before and they have even visited our church a couple of times and felt very welcomed. They got special prayer and everybody was so nice to them, but then they didn't come back. Today, Roberta called and said she wouldn't be able to keep Hope anymore. Tabitha believes it's because she was sharing the Lord with them yesterday. She said she is not upset, cause she knows the Lord will meet her needs. He knows that she needs somebody to take care of Hope and He also knows how much she can afford to pay. It's in His hands now and I know He will take care of her. She also needs prayer for insurance for all of them. Chad needs dental care really bad. Tabitha can't afford to go back to the doctor to find out the results of her tests that she had on her kidneys. But, that too will work out.

Well, I'm going to get to bed a little earlier tonight, so I will say Good Night and God Bless.......
